Family Pictures

Since Cade has been born I have had the kids pictures made but I haven't had any of the family done. So tonight was the night.... Let's say getting 4 kids ready plus myself before 530 which means David wasn't home from work yet, Was a challenge. But so glad I did. I think these pictures turned out great. Especially considering Cade did not have his afternoon nap and Reid was well himself. Bella was looking at the pictures and said wow mom I didn't realize how pretty I looked. Go check Amber out at Three Bees Photography

I will have to give David some credit here. I had wanted to go to Francescia's earlier today but never made it over there because Reid's doctors appointment was an hour behind. So I got on the website took a picture of the necklace I wanted and sent it to him. And jokingly said go pick this up and also grab me some cute shoes in a size 7. The necklace was perfect but he couldn't find shoes to match:). Hey I got the necklace so SCORE.

So Reid had his follow up with Growth and Development today and we got to go to the Lowell clinic instead of driving all the way to little Rock. And it was a great visit. He is small yes I know we are all short but he was on his own growth curve and fell off of it. So we have been being followed. So for the first time in 18 months.... He weighs more than 24lbs. He is 26.2 lbs so instead of 6% for weight for height he is 30% for weight for height!!!! Such a great number to hear. Let's not count the very full bladder he had. They have tested this sweet guy for a ton of stuff which all thankfully has come back negative. But just still concerned about his poop. So they are testing him for Celiac. And pretty much still follow up on height. The doctor was very apologetic about being late. I reassured him this was fine. I only had one child with me and it was rather relaxing.
After his visit it was just mommy and Reid and this never happens it was great. We went to McDonald's and had a late lunch date.

Than for being such a good boy at the doctor and for only screaming a little we headed to where else but wal-Mart to get what else a Captain America shield and action figure. He protected me the rest of the day.

On the way to start rounding up the other kids to get ready for pictures he said, mommy do you just love your alone time with me? I said yes Reid I do. He said me too mommy... I just wove you... He totally melted my heart. I would have bought him more Captain America things had he said that before we got to the store;). Love this little man.
Tonight as I was getting ready for bed and noticed several new pictures on my phone yes sweet Bella and Avery hijacked my phone this morning so here is a small sample !!!

Have a great Memorial Day Weekend.

Summer!!!!

It has been a very long time since I have blogged. life has been extremely crazy at the Chesnutt house. I am going to try this again. Try and be more consistent since having 4 kids to try and remember things about I need to have some way to document it all.

This summer to try and keep everyone from driving me crazy I have decided to put together a summer program/ mommy boot camp. I of coarse found the idea on pinterest, and I have pinned so many ideas I'm not sure who to give credit to.
The girls were super excited this morning to start. I am 100% sure the newness will wear off and I will meet some resistance but I am going to put my foot down after all we have 13 weeks of summer vacation this year.
This week our scripture is :

Today our Masterpiece Monday we are making bookmarks out of paper clips and ribbon. I thought I would start out easy since I don't want to overwhelm myself. Unfortunately it didn't overwhelm the kids either they were finished in 5 minutes....

Hopefully tomorrow will go as good as today.. Crossing my fingers and toes.

Competition and some Extra's

We had another exciting week this week. Abby had her first soccer practice and she loved it but she was sad that she had to miss one of her dance classes. Macie Jane had worked with Abby and when she was at practice everyone was shocked she had not played soccer before.

Move onto Sunday and spring forward an hour + competition + 2 girls = CRAZY

So Sunday morning I was awoken by 2 very excited girls @ 4am...Yes this is not a typo 4am.

Which I promptly sent them back to bed for an hour. We had to be at the Competition ready by 7 am. Very sad for me. We made it and we were actually EARLY. My girls did an amazing job. I was a very proud mama.

Abby's dance got First Place Elite Platinum

Bella's dance got First Elite Gold

It was our dance studio's first year to do competition and everyone did such a wonderful job. I also realized we are exactly where we should be. As a mother some of the music and costumes were soooo inappropriate. I know to each there own but I am blessed to have found such a wonderful dance studio for my girls!!!!

Monday : David and I packed up with some friends and headed back to Kansas City to see Bon Jovi in Concert. We had a great time and it was great to sit at dinner not chasing a kiddo around or trying to strap hi back in his high chair. My phone was dead at the concert but I did get a photo of David and I before we left. Thanks mom and dad for watching the kids. What a great birthday present I gave my dad:)

Really...

Okay so I never figured myself as a big dancing mom but I guess I am. Bella had her first dancing competition. We had a blast. It was a crazy weekend but she did so great and she said she really wants to do it again.

So Friday after school we picked up the Jones girls and dropped of Reid at my dad's for my first time away from him. He seemed not to care a lick as there was dirt to play with. Than we hoped in the car and headed to Kansas City for our first competition. The girls were so excited when we got to the hotel. My wonderful mom came with us. She was so helpful. I couldn't have done it without her. IT was kinda crazy we had NINE people in our hotel room....6 kids and 3 adults...At least we got the beds haha. Man those girls can eat a ton of food.

Saturday we had to be p and ready by 630 and leave our hotel by 715 to get to the music hall and find out where we were supposed to be. Whew. It was crazy we had 11 little girls in and out of our room since w had "the kit" for fake eyelashes, and blush, mascara, rhinestones and fingernail polish....WOW is all I though. We did it though and go to the Music Hall in time. We had time to go back stage and run through the dance and warm up and make the finishing touches..GLITTER ON THEIR LIPS....The girls loved it. Than we left them back stage so we could get a seat and watch. I had butterflies in my tummy just sitting there waiting for her to come on stage. We ad said a little prayer before I left her. And she told me than that they were for sure they were going to place....

They got on stage and did great. These girls have been practicing so hard these last few months. And I am so very proud of all of them. The girls got Second place and qualified for nationals. So they Rocked It.

That night we went to the Cheesecake Factory per Bella's request. WE waited there required hour and a half wait. During that time we wrangled 4 silly girls around. Abby Finally fell asleep and she slept the entire time we Wait on our food and while we all ate. She woke up in the car wanting food. To Fuuny she does need her beauty sleep. The girls had to get back to the hotel so that they could get up ion the morning for dance. So we tied the 6 little girls down to their beds (no we didn't couldn't find enough rope)

Sunday they had classes by master instructors hat the kids really wanted to go to so....we went and than left way too tired.Abby was not dancing this weekend but she sure wanted to several times. At one point we were watching and there was a guy in tights and I asked Abby if she thought Reid should take dance and she looked at me like I was CRAZY.....and said NO.

So glad to be home in my bed got to snuggle my girls all weekend and than my baby tonight. Going to be up early since Bella is student of the week....Rise and Shine!!!

This next week is going to be another busy week. Abby starts soccer practice along with her dance she is already doing. We have the Bentonville Dance Showcase ugggg and both girls are dancing there. So maybe next Sunday I willl be back and repost on the current events

Reid's First Birthday

So Reid's First Birthday was originally scheduled for December 5th....And we had to cancel it because we all came down with the stomach bug. It was horrible watching my sweet baby throw up on his first birthday. Than the girls started ad than David did. I absolutely could not, not have him a birthday and with Christmas parties in full force we had to reschedule a make shift party...You know it was great and we were so Thankful to everyone that did make it. We had a monkey party..Since we were avoiding Dairy, Soy and Eggs I made him a special cake and it didn't even have icing...but we did add some allergy free Coconut milk ice cream mmmmm...Everyone else had banana splits. It was wonderful.
We had a great time. I can't believe how fast my little man is growing up. Before I know it he will be running around with the girls.....wait he already is.
I love you sweet baby boy....
